Body found in Santa Ana River identified

GARDEN GROVE, Calif. The body of 20-year-old Johnny Sandoval, of Santa Ana, was discovered on a bank at the mouth of the river, between Huntington Beach and Newport Beach. He was wearing only shorts and a t-shirt, and authorities say it appeared he'd been in the river for days.

Sandoval was last seen alive Friday. He was reported missing soon after.

The cause of death remains unknown pending further toxicological tests. But authorities say there were no signs of a crime. Investigators think he may have been swimming or rafting in the fast-moving river during last week's storm.
