4 gang members arrested in stolen vehicle

VENTURA, Calif. Two of the men are already under a court injunction against specific gang members filed by the Ventura County District Attorney's Office.

Police arrested 19-year-old Manuel Martinez, 19-year-old Manuel Edwards, 22-year-old Victor Montejano and 18-year-old Ruben Correa Sunday morning in Camarillo after an all-out search involving a sheriff's helicopter and K-9 unit. It all began when officers discovered a blue Chevy Suburban the four were riding in had been stolen the night before in Port Hueneme.

Police say the vehicle sped off and evaded officers. When they caught up with the Suburban, it had been parked and abandoned on Calle La Cumbre, with the suspects disappearing into the neighborhood.

After an extensive search, the four men were found. Deputies say they discovered stolen property in the vehicle tied to vehicle burglaries in both Thousand Oaks and Camarillo early Sunday.
