Judge: Center must continue autism therapy

ALHAMBRA, Calif. The families of seven children with autism filed a lawsuit against the Eastern Los Angeles Regional Center in Alhambra.

They claim the facility stopped a treatment called D.I.R. that was helping their children. It provides weekly one-on-one care for the children.

The medical center is state supported. The state considers the program to be "experimental." It was cut as part of the California budget crisis.

The center's executive director says the center will comply with the court's ruling, although it is disappointed with the court.
