Cool Kid volunteers with children with autism

LOS ANGELES Cool Kid Joshua Corwin helped create the group 'Inspired Teens.' During the school year, members of the group would volunteer with children with autism spectrum disorder and other special needs.

"We should get into their world and see what makes their world shine," said Joshua Corwin.

After working at a day camp with these children, Joshua felt a need to expand his involvement.

"I am really able to enrich these kid's lives," explained Joshua. "I thought why not go on for more than just a summer."

Joshua has seen some special needs kids left out of activities. His aim is to make all feel welcome.

"No one is excluded, no one feels like they're trapped behind the corner and can't join. Everybody's welcome," said Joshua.

A current project has them all turning their artwork into fund raising greeting cards. Joshua sees their enjoyment and is happy that his Inspired Teens have helped.

"So that this thrill and fun could really be achieved and makes me feel good. Like I'm making a difference," said Josh.

Making sure all feel connected and included, he is our Cool Kid, Joshua Corwin.
