5,000 marijuana plants found near Devore

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. Investigators say approximately 3,000 marijuana plants were found growing in Little Kimbark Canyon and an additional 2,000 marijuana plants were found nearby. The deputies say the combined value of the plants is several million dollars.

"I am extremely proud of the hard work being done by members of the Marijuana Eradication Team, the United States Forest Service, and personnel with Campaign against Marijuana Planting," said San Bernardino Sheriff Rod Hoops. "We are sending a strong message to the persons responsible for these outdoor grows. They will not be tolerated in San Bernardino County."

The U.S. Forest Service and Campaign Against Marijuana Planting (CAMP) helped with the bust.

Police don't yet know who's responsible for the marijuana growing operations, and asked for anyone with information to call (909) 890-3840.
