LAPD seeks more sexual assault victims

LOS ANGELES The Los Angeles District Attorney's Office charged Alan Wurtzel, 66, with two counts of felony sexual assault.

Wurtzel was arraigned in /*Los Angeles Superior Court*/, where he pleaded not guilty. He was released on his own recognizance.

Wurtzel is a previously convicted /*sex offender*/ for assaults on women he met through Internet personal ads.

Police said as recently as May 2010, he was contacting women using the online dating site Match.com under the screen name "a1an208."

Investigators said it was through these contacts that he eventually met a woman and sexually assaulted her in her home, which led to his current charges.

Investigators said based on Wurtzel's history, they believe there could be other sexually assaulted women who have yet to come forward.

The /*Los Angeles Police Department*/ is urging anyone with more information on Wurtzel to contact the LAPD Operations West Bureau Sexual Assault Detail at (213) 473-0404.
