Rare Navy Helldiver found in SD reservoir

CHULA VISTA, Calif. The /*Navy*/ Helldiver crashed into the Otay Reservoir during a practice run in 1945.

Both crew members swam to safety.

A fisherman discovered the aircraft last year, while he was using an underwater fish finder.

There are only a few of the Helldivers still in existence.

This one will be restored and put on display at the Naval Museum in Pensacola, Fla.
