Snacks foods to help boost your energy

A sugary snack may spike your energy in the afternoon, but it will most likely be followed by a big crash, according to experts. Instead, experts recommend looking for foods high in an amino acid called tyrosine.

Some good snack options that are rich in tyrosine are Greek-style yogurt with fruit, edamame or cottage cheese. Another great choice would be a handful of almonds.

Almonds have tyrosine and protein for sustained energy.

When you eat foods with tyrosine, it converts into feel good chemicals like adrenaline and dopamine, and boosts energy.
