Body found in scorched Porsche identified

A victim whose burned body was found in a scorched Porsche Cayenne in San Bernardino on Thursday, Oct. 14, 2010 has been identified as 52-year-old Chino resident Singthong Ha.

A victim whose burned body was found in a scorched Porsche in San Bernardino on Thursday, Oct. 14 has been identified.Authorities identified the victim as 52-year-old Singthong Ha, a Chino man with a business in Long Beach.

Ha is the registered owner of the vehicle. Authorities said he was seen with an unknown man leaving a shopping center in Long Beach on Thursday afternoon. Officials described the man as being around 6 feet tall, 325 pounds with a short pony tail, possibly Hispanic or Samoan.

The California Highway Patrol received reports of a vehicle on fire on the Glen Helen Parkway onramp to the southbound 15 Freeway in Devore at about 10:15 p.m. Upon arrival, they found the Porsche Cayenne engulfed in flames.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department ruled that there was definitely foul play involved, but they weren't sure of the details behind the cause of death.
