Hundreds may've been exposed to Hepatitis C

SAN PEDRO, Calif. A 76-year-old Torrance woman died from complications of Hepatitis C last May. Her family reported her death to county health officials on Tuesday.

She was one of hundreds of patients told that the Advanced Pain Treatment Center in San Pedro accidentally used contaminated needles to sedate patients.

County health officials sent letters to those patients telling them to be tested because they may have been exposed to Hepatitis B, C or less likely, the virus that causes /*AIDS*/.

Public health officials have not responded publicly regarding the woman's case.
