3 robbery attempts within a ½ mile radius

VENTURA Ventura police first responded to a call of a stolen vehicle early Tuesday morning on the 8900 block of Santa Margarita Road. Police say there is no suspect information for the crime.

Ventura Police responded to the same street later Tuesday morning for an attempted residential burglary. Police say the suspect removed the screen to a front window in an attempt to gain entry into the house. The homeowner saw the suspect from inside the house and screamed, causing the suspect to take off running in an unknown direction.

This suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 5'09", between 150 to 160 pounds, with a shaved head, wearing a white t-shirt and dark pants.

Ventura Police were then called to the 1500 block of Swansea Avenue for a residential burglary Tuesday afternoon. Officers say no suspects were found, but the residence had been broken into and ransacked.

Police say it is unclear if the crimes are connected. Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
