Surveillance video shows the gunman, wearing a hooded sweatshirt, walking into the store and grabbing the clerk, identified as Vaishali Patel. She fought back and managed to pry the gun from his hand.
Patel said she'll never forget the frightening threats he made. She said the suspect told her, "I'm going to kill you. I know you have families, so you have to give me money because you have to save life for your family."
The suspect ran off but was later arrested. It turns out the gun he was carrying was a BB gun.
