New restaurants slated for downtown renewal

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES First, from the people who brought you the Umami burger, a new project: the Umamicatessen.

Also, New York City's Two Boots Pizzeria will open a location just down the street.

The openings are part of the Bringing Back Broadway initiative, spearheaded by L.A. City Councilman Jose Huizar.

He says the two restaurants will bring 50 to 75 jobs.

You'll have to wait a while to get eat at the new restaurants though: grand openings are still about a year and a half away.
