Charlie Sheen hospitalized with abdominal pain

LOS ANGELES

His illness and condition was not made public Thursday afternoon.

Sheen's publicist has spoken only of the actor suffering from abdominal pain.

/*Charlie Sheen*/, 45, was staying at /*Cedars-Sinai Medical Center*/ in Los Angeles.

According to Sheen's publicist, Stan Rosenfield, Sheen was having severe abdominal pains Thursday and went to the hospital.

Rosenfield said Sheen has had a history of hernia problems and that the unidentified woman who made the early morning 911 call on Sheen's behalf "said he had severe stomach pains and said it was from a hernia condition."

The /*Los Angeles City Fire Dept.*/ confirmed they responded to a medical call at Sheen's home on the 14000 block of West Aubrey Rd. at 6:30 a.m.

This incident is Sheen's third visit to a hospital in as many months and is the latest chapter in Sheen's wild ways.

Last fall, Sheen was rushed to a New York City hospital after authorities found him naked and disoriented at the Plaza Hotel New York.

A pornography actress later accused the sitcom star of attacking her in that hotel room.

Twice in 2010, Sheen's Mercedes-Benz was allegedly stolen out of his garage and found at the bottom of a ravine near his home.

In 2009, Sheen faced assault charges in Aspen, Colo., after a dispute with his wife, Brooke Mueller.

Wednesday night, Sheen's "Two and a Half Men" co-star Jon Cryer appeared on Conan O'Brien's TV talk show. Cryer talked about how strange things seem to happen to Sheen.

Last week, the entertainment division president of CBS issued a statement: Network officials "have a high level of concern about Sheen's off-camera behavior."

"Two and a Half Men" is currently on hiatus.
