Argument escalates to stabbing in Ventura

VENTURA, Calif.

Ventura police said the whole thing started Friday evening at 43 E. Vince St. when two men, Daniel McGrath and Steven Droszcz, were arguing over personal issues involving a woman they both knew.

As the argument grew heated, McGrath reportedly took out a knife, placed it on Droszcz's torso and threatened to kill him.

Droszcz suffered a minor, non-life threatening wound to his ribcage area.

After the incident, McGrath attempted to flee on foot but was later spotted by a patrol officer near Figueroa and Thompson streets.

McGrath was arrested and booked for assault with a deadly weapon.
