A man wearing a hooded sweatshirt and sunglasses came into Arnold Bakery Outlet in Boston recently and threw down a knife on the counter, demanding money.
That's when the owner puller out her big metal rod wrapped in tape from behind the counter and made quick work of the robber.
"I got a little bit lucky and I hope that he's not coming back for revenge or anything like that. I don't want to hurt anybody but I don't want anybody to hurt me," said the store owner, Bosolakhana Thach.
Thach said she was robbed before. So to protect herself, she asked a friend who works in construction to fashion her a weapon for protection.
