Charlie Sheen creates his own hot dog in Sherman Oaks

SHERMAN OAKS, LOS ANGELES

Rick Ortiz, manager at The Infield on Ventura Boulevard, said he was working when Sheen stopped by.

"He comes up to the window. He orders two Chicago dogs, and right before he's finished eating his, he's like, 'I need something to spice this up,'" Ortiz said.

Sheen asked for hot sauce, so they offered him Sriracha hot chili sauce, which they called "the tiger blood" - and "The Charlie Dog with Tiger Blood" was created.

Ortiz said it's basically a Chicago-style dog with a bunch of hot sauce. He said Sheen was so in love with his discovery that he asked for a piece of chalk and changed the restaurant's daily deal sign himself.

Since Sheen's visit and his subsequent Tweets, business has been booming. Ortiz says women are the biggest fans of "The Charlie Dog with Tiger Blood."

"The Infield" created a side order to Sheen's dog called "The Goddesses," which essentially are deep-fried Twinkies.
