Armed and dangerous man arrested in Simi Valley

SIMI VALLEY, Calif.

Police spotted Adam Troy Reyes, 21, of West Hills about 7 p.m. in the 1500 block of Patricia Avenue. A search began for Reyes using police dogs, but they were unable to find him.

Police then received a call about 11 p.m. from a man who said he had been robbed of his cellphone by a man fitting Reyes' description. The victim said he held up his arms in fear for his safety as the suspect forcibly removed the cellphone from his pockets, police said. The victim was not injured.

Reyes was found with a 17-year-old girl at Citrus Grove Park in the 2100 block of Marvel Avenue. Police say the cellphone was found on him and that he admitted to taking it.

Reyes was booked at the Ventura County East Valley Sheriff's Station on one count of robbery and two counts of resisting arrest. He was also booked on the felony parole warrant.
