The study out of Germany suggests that losing as little as two pounds reduces both systolic and diastolic /*blood pressure*/.
The study also found that losing 5 percent of body weight can lower the risk of hypertension by 13 percent and the risk of cardiovascular events by 20 percent.
Doctors studied more than 3,000 people and measured their blood pressures over several years while monitoring their weight.
