Simon & Schuster announced Monday that Jaycee Dugard's memoir "A Stolen Life" will go on sale on July 12.
Dugard was held prisoner in a secret backyard compound by a Phillip and Nancy Garrido, who have confessed to her abduction and rape.
The book will cover her abduction, the birth of her two children and her daily life as the prisoner of the Garridos.
The 31-year-old Dugard has stayed out of the media spotlight since she was found in August 2009.
Along with hardcover and electronic book editions, the publisher is producing an audio book narrated by Dugard.
