Corona brush fire spreads to Cleveland National Forest

A brush fire erupted in an old orange grove near Interstate 15 on Thursday, June 2, 2011, burning through brush between Corona and Lake Elsinore.

Firefighters continued to battle a brush fire in Riverside County on Friday that scorched about 160 acres.

It broke out on Thursday near the Trilogy Golf Course in Corona and spread to the Cleveland National Forest.

Some 300 fire personal are on the scene and have it 50 percent contained.

Two aerial tankers, along with water-dropping helicopters, were also called in to fight the flames.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
