Over the last year and a half, David Fonseca Benavidez, 24, allegedly befriend several women from the Thousand Oaks area, gained their trust and even lived with some of them for short periods of time.
Police said he stole jewelry and other valuables from his girlfriends and their families, some while he lived with them. Another involved entering into a home while the victim's family was on vacation, several months after the victim ended her relationship with Benavidez.
Benavidez was arrested Friday on charges of residential burglary, grand theft and possession of stolen property. He was being held at the Ventura County Main Jail on $55,000 bail.
