Pedestrian hit, killed on 101 Freeway

LOS ANGELES

All northbound lanes were shut down for a couple of hours at North Alameda Street before reopening around 6 a.m.

/*California Highway Patrol*/ says the victim was a 67-year-old male. He ran into the freeway and was struck twice. They say the victim didn't appear to be a transient and that an investigation was ongoing.

Police have not released details of the driver.

Earlier, abc7.com had titled this a hit and run, though police have not described this accident as a hit and run.
