Griffin O'Neal was hospitalized Tuesday after a traffic accident in Escondido.
Officials said the 46-year-old was heading east on San Pasqual Valley Road when he veered into oncoming traffic and hit another vehicle.
O'Neal was listed in stable condition Tuesday afternoon and was released a short time later.
The condition of the other driver has not been released.
Earlier in the day, Griffin's brother, Redmond O'Neal was jailed in Santa Monica after police allegedly found heroin in his car during a traffic stop.
