The U.S. Marshals Service is auctioning off a rare, flawless 43-carat diamond, and bidding starts at $900,000.

The diamond was seized during an undercover FBI operation that ended with a money laundering conviction for a prominent Ohio businessman.

It is not clear how the businessman came to own this jewel.

The U.S. Marshals Service is in charge of selling seized and forfeited goods, with the money usually going to pay restitution to victims.
