Family and friends gathered Friday at a funeral service for a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Explorer killed in a drive-by shooting.

Mourners paid their final respects to 19-year-old Cesar Rodriguez at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier.

Last Sunday, Rodriguez and another man were shot to death in front of a house near Whittier by the driver of a gray Scion.

No arrests have been made.

Rodriguez was planning on becoming a sheriff's deputy and was a volunteer at the Norwalk sheriff's station.

Anyone with information related to the case was urged to call the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department at (323) 890-5500.
