The team filed a cross-complaint against Louie Sanchez and Marvin Norwood, who are charged in the March 31 beating.
The cross-complaint was filed because Stow is suing McCourt and the Dodgers for the beating.
The filing states that although the Dodgers and McCourt do not think they are liable for Stow's injuries, if a jury finds otherwise, they should be reimbursed by the defendants for part of the damages they may be ordered to pay.
Stow and his children filed the suit against McCourt and other team entities in May. Among the claims are assault, battery, negligence, premises liability, negligent hiring, assault and both intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress.
On Sept. 30, a judge granted a defense motion dismissing the children as plaintiffs.
Stow was beaten in the parking lot of Dodger Stadium shortly after the season opener. Police said he was attacked because he was wearing Giants gear.
