Police say the woman was walking to her parked car outside a health food/acupuncture clinic when the suspect confronted her.
The suspect allegedly demanded her property. When she refused, the suspect shot her and ran off without taking anything.
The woman was hospitalized but was expected to recover.
The suspect remains at large.
