TV writer John Wells gets star on Walk of Fame

LOS ANGELES

Multiple Emmy-winning writer and producer John Wells unveiled his honor today in Hollywood.

George Clooney and Allison Janney, who each worked with Wells for several years, attended the ceremony to sing his many praises.

"John is revered as a producer of film and television, as a show-runner, a solver of problems in an industry that runs on them. But above all, John is a writer," said Janney.

"Shameless" and "Southland" are two of Wells' most recent television series.
