Acura recall announced: 2007-2008 TL sedans

TORRANCE, Calif.

The power-steering hose may deteriorate over time, the company said, and fluid leaks can develop. The fluid leak can lead to loss of steering performance, and could potentially leak into the catalytic converter, causing smoke or fire as a result, the company said.

No crashes, injuries or fires have been reported due to the issue, according to Acura.

Owners of all affected vehicles should take their vehicles to an authorized dealer. Mailed notification to customers will begin in mid-June 2012. In addition to contacting customers by mail, in mid-June, owners of these vehicles will be able to determine if their vehicles require repair by going online to www.recalls.acura.com or by calling (800) 382-2238 and selecting option 4.
