Bank fraud suspects arrested in Thousand Oaks

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif.

Jin Tae Kim, 32, and Ho Rim Yoon, 31, allegedly opened bank accounts and wrote checks against those accounts knowing there were insufficient funds to cover them, according to police.

After making three fraudulent transactions at three different banks, Kim and Yoon were arrested at a Chase Bank branch in Thousand Oaks.

Kim and Yoon were booked at the Ventura County Sheriff's Department's East County Jail for burglary, fraud and conspiracy to commit a crime.

Investigators discovered Kim and Yoon had been allegedly conspiring with a third suspect who was supplying them with information to commit the crimes. Investigators were attempting to identify additional suspects, police said.
