Restaurant worker arrested for stabbing man over food order

HEMET, Calif.

Gabriel Villalba, 28, allegedly argued with a customer of a fast-food restaurant located on the 41000 block of East Florida Avenue in Hemet shortly before 1:50 a.m. Thursday. There was reportedly a discrepancy in the food order.

The argument escalated into a physical confrontation and Villalba allegedly stabbed the customer in the abdomen, according to the sheriff's department.

The customer was transported by friends to a hospital in serious condition. He was expected to survive.

Villalba was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and was booked at the Larry Smith Correctional Facility in Banning.
