The Los Angeles Times obtained about 250 pages of email messages exchanged between AEG executives. Some wrote how Jackson was out of shape and consumed with self-doubt, putting his "This Is It" tour in jeopardy.
In one email to AEG President Tim Leiweke, Randy Phillips said Jackson was "locked in his room drunk and despondent."
But lawyers for AEG say the messages were incomplete and were only leaked to show the company in a negative light.
Two lawsuits against AEG will go to trial next year.
