Katt Williams bails out after Calif. arrest

SACRAMENTO, Calif.

Williams was taken into custody in Dunnigan, Calif. Friday night after a felony arrest warrant was issued for a police chase in Sacramento County.

The Toyota Center in Houston, Texas had to cancel Williams' event Friday night after the comedian failed to show. Venue officials issued a statement late Friday saying the event was canceled due to circumstances beyond their control.

Last month, California Highway Patrol officers say Williams failed to stop after he was spotted driving on a three-wheeled motorcycle outside a Sacramento hotel. Officials say Williams nearly hit five people during the chase.

The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department told ABC News the warrant issued Thursday was for reckless driving.

The 41-year-old comedian, whose real name is Micah Sierra Williams, was recently arrested in Seattle for misdemeanor assault, suspicion of harassment and obstruction. Police reports indicate that Williams was involved in a dispute with a man at a Seattle bar.

Williams did not show up to his arraignment for the Seattle incident. He said he read a newspaper article on The Seattle Times saying an attorney could attend on his behalf.
