Corona teacher charged with alleged sex with 5 underage students

CORONA, Calif.

Summer Hansen, 31, was charged with 16 felony counts, including unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, unlawful oral copulation with a minor and sending harmful matter to a minor.

If convicted, Hansen could face up to 13 years in prison.

Hansen taught at Centennial High School in Corona. Five underage male students were allegedly involved. None of the boys was a student of Hansen's.

Hansen was arrested on June 20 after an investigation was launched by Corona Police. The Corona Norco Unified School District had notified police of the alleged incidents.

"The crimes are alleged to have taken place from May 2012 through May 2013, and took place in her classroom, in a utility room at the school, in her vehicle while parked near one victim's home, and at another victim's home," said district attorney's spokesman John Hall.

Hansen was scheduled to be arraigned Thursday.
