Once viewer votes were factored in with judges' scores, the couple was eliminated. It was a sad goodbye.
"I just learned how hard it is, how tough it is, but I learned I'm capable of it. It's been amazing. It's been an honor," said Daugherty.
Amber Riley and Derek Hough won the night with the judges with 28 points. They were immediately declared safe. The six remaining couples then took part in a dance-off for extra points.
But the extra this week was clearly guest judge Cher, who had a blast.
"I could see some of the technical stuff, but really was just looking at the dance. And I've seen enough dancers and hired enough dancers in my life to know what's good, what's great and what's OK," said Cher.
Now it's back to the business of dance as the competition gets even tougher. Next week, the remaining six couples will perform their individual dances and then they'll take part in a trio dance with an eliminated pro or someone from the dance troupe.
