Plum Organics is recalling some baby food products due to a manufacturing defect that may cause packages to swell or spoil.

The recall affects pouch products in its Baby Stage 2, Tots Mish Mash and Kids lines.

The recalled products have "Best By" dates ranging from Aug. 5 to Dec. 8 of 2014.

Plum Organics spokesperson Kara Flynn said the recall is voluntary and "not a food safety issue." She said consumers who consume the product, however, may "experience some temp gastrointestinal issues such as nausea and diarrhea."

Consumers were urged to contact the Plum Organics Consumer Hotline at (866) 495-3774 to request a product replacement voucher. For more information, visit plumorganics.com.
