Police said they received a call at 12:16 p.m. from someone who witnessed the suspect, identified as Krystal Chaney, walking into the open garage of a home in the 2200 block of Pierpont Boulevard in Ventura. The caller stated that the suspect went through several areas of a vehicle parked in the garage and then walked out.
Ventura police officers arrived at the scene and located Chaney nearby. Police said the suspect was in possession of items that had been taken out of the vehicle. Chaney was arrested and booked into the Ventura County Jail.
