2 arrested for stealing Glendale police car

TUSTIN, Calif.

A Glendale police car used by recruits for training scenarios was stolen from the academy on January 2 at about 9:30 p.m. Multiple other law enforcement vehicles were burglarized.

The stolen car was found abandoned in Garden Grove the next day. The investigation identified two suspects, Tustin resident Kevin Sanchez, 21, and Palm Springs resident William Menser, 22.

The suspects were contacted by police and were found to be in possession of items stolen from the vehicles, according to Tustin Police.

Sanchez and Menser were arrested and booked on charges of burglary, vehicle theft and possession of stolen property.
