The incident happened on the 6200 block of Royalist Drive around 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Dianne Pace, who lives in the home, said she heard someone ring her doorbell several times, but didn't answer because it was late. A short time later, she saw two men jump over her side fence.
"I ran to the kitchen to see if the back door was locked, and it was, and I looked out the window and they were in my yard," said Pace. "I freaked, I turned on the light, I screamed, I called the police. They took off, they jumped the fence, and I guess they a getaway car."
Police say the suspects fled in a gray SUV, possibly a Honda.
