6 injured in multi-vehicle crash on 10 Fwy in Pomona; all lanes reopened

POMONA, Calif. (KABC) -- Six people were hurt in a multi-vehicle crash Thursday morning that initially shut down all eastbound lanes on the 10 Freeway in Pomona, authorities said.

The three-car collision occurred about 5:15 a.m. just west of Fairplex Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued a SigAlert.

The conditions of the injured persons were not immediately clear. Several of them were seen being treated by Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics at the scene.

About an hour after the crash, the CHP reopened two of the eastbound lanes amid a massive backup of traffic. Traffic was again flowing in all lanes by 7:15 a.m.

The cause of the incident was unknown.
