11-year-old boy found safe after going missing in Compton

COMPTON, Calif. (KABC) -- An 11-year-old boy was found safe after he was reported missing in Compton.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Irvin Diaz, who went missing Monday near the 700 block of North Bradfield Avenue, was located Tuesday afternoon. Details on his condition weren't immediately released.

Sheriff's officials thanked the public, the media, its aero bureau, and deputies fortheir efforts in the searchfor Irvin.
