1 killed in fiery crash on 60 East in Monterey Park

MONTEREY PARK, Calif. (KABC) -- A fatal car crash shut down multiple lanes on the 60 Freeway in Monterey Park Monday morning.

The fiery crash happened around 5:45 a.m. on the eastbound side of the freeway at Atlantic Boulevard. One person died and another suffered a minor injury.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

It took crews several hours to clear the scene. All lanes reopened around 9 a.m.
