Airplane noise may be bad for heart

Scientists at the University of Glasgow said that being exposed to aircraft noise - even at night, when you're asleep - can raise your blood pressure. The study showed that even an increase of 10 decibels of airplane noise at night increased the risk of high blood pressure by about 14 percent.

Experts say they already knew that noise from air traffic can be irritating, but they believe this is the first study to show it may affect the heart.
