Israeli woman claims to be 120 years old

JERUSALEM The woman applied for a new Israeli ID card, and listed the year she was born as 1888. The Guinness Book of Records currently lists a 114-year-old Indiana woman as the world's oldest person.

Officials at Israel's Interior Ministry confirm Amash's birth certificate shows the 1888 birth date. But it was issued when the region was ruled by Turkey and officials aren't sure it's accurate.

The Guinness people say they would need multiple documents before certifying the Israeli Arab woman as 120 and the world's oldest person.

Relatives say she has about 120 grandchildren, 250 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great grandchildren.
