A woman in Maine had quite a surprise when she went to take her laundry out of the washing machine. She found an 8-foot long snake wrapped around her soaking clothes.

The snake turned out to be a venomous python. She and her mother were terrified.

"I take my jeans out and then I put my hand back in there to get more, something moved under my hand I jumped back and all of sudden it's head starts coming out of the washing machine and I mean it looked huge," said homeowner Mara Ranger.

Ranger immediately called police, animal control and snake buster Richard Burton. Even he was amazed at the sight of the snake in her laundry.
