Forever 21 to take over urban farm

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES The community garden was once known as South Central Farm, but now, Forever 21 wants to open a warehouse and distribution center on the site, the newspaper reports.

Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa once fought to save the farm, but some are now questioning his efforts.

According to the Times, the mayor received more than a $1 million in contributions from the company in the last two years.

Opponents are also calling for additional environmental reviews.
