L.A. apartments go up in flames

LOS ANGELES The blaze was reported at around 8:30 p.m. at a structure on 33rd St. near Central Ave.

Two Los Angeles police officers ran into the building to rescue victims. They included a family seen hanging from windows screaming for help.

The fire was knocked out in 23 minutes.

Two dogs died in one of the apartment units.
