Beckham to return to L.A. Galaxy mid-July

LOS ANGELES The /*Los Angeles Times*/ reports that /*David Beckham*/ will report to the /*L.A. Galaxy*/ soccer club in mid-July after completing the soccer season in Italy with /*AC Milan*/.

Beckham is under contract to play with the Galaxy.

But under a buy-out clause in his contract that goes into effect at the end of 2009, Beckham would be free to leave the Galaxy after the team's regular season and playoff games have ended.

AC Milan tried unsuccessfully to work out a deal with the Galaxy for Beckham.

Beckham's wife, /*Victoria Beckham*/, has been quoted as saying her husband is "hooked" on playing for AC Milan.
