Daytime napping may lead to diabetes

Chinese and British researchers found that people who took daytime naps were 26 percent more likely to develop the disease than those who didn't.

Napping during the day can cause nighttime sleep disruption, which has been shown to increase the risk of Type 2 diabetes.

Researchers also found that waking up from a nap activates hormones that prevent insulin from working correctly.
